I9 -9900K, stock/auto configurations in BIOS Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Ultra board MSI RTX 2060 are normal. After a clean install of Windows and some updates, the system reset to an older BIOS version. CSM support was active but can be disabled. Clearing CMOS restored the latest BIOS. The blue screen issue likely stems from the BIOS reverting or hardware changes. No major concern unless performance drops significantly. Consider checking for firmware updates or hardware issues if problems persist.
Consider lowering the voltage if you're not overclocking, as Intel's cooling fans can be too aggressive. Aim for 4.8 all-core with 1.25 or 1.3v boost voltage. It seems your BIOS isn't corrupted—just a misconfiguration might be the issue. If you ever encounter a faulty BIOS, a budget USB programmer like the Ch341A (around $4) could be helpful for flashing better BIOS versions on your boards.
I used DualBios and managed to get back to the main system, which looks like it's fixed. The current setup seems stable. I'm pretty sure a completely dead board with this issue is unlikely. I just want to confirm it wasn't a major problem or a temporary glitch. I didn’t make many changes to the settings, so it probably won’t be an issue now. If anything, it’s probably not worth worrying about.
