In the past two days I've encountered issues after the fresh installation of Windows 8.1. It occurs with both 32-bit and 64-bit, as well as canary builds. After installing Windows 8.1 again, I tried installing Canary 64-bit, but some tabs still crash. Once I installed Chrome 32-bit and then tried it again, the same problems persisted. I searched online for two days but haven't found a solution.

It's possible that unnoticed extensions or add-ons are contributing to the issue.

I'm having trouble with this too. Both of us use W7, but we're not sure how to fix it.

Post-installation I had no additional extensions. I only visit the market to look for alternatives for my existing ones. One tab crashes frequently, and plugins default. All the extensions I rely on work smoothly on my laptop. My system specs are 965BE, GTX660, 6GB DDR3, Windows 8.1 x64. Pozdrav AleksaNS

Consider using a third-party Chrome browser to check for consistency. Google Chrome seems to have some problems, while Comodo Dragon (based on Chromium) functions properly. It could be related to the Chrome extension or a Chrome-specific issue.

Comodo Dragon only shows 360p videos from YouTube. It doesn’t have issues like Chrome, but that isn’t a fix. IcDragon runs on Firefox and Firefox isn’t great for YouTube. The best options are trying Windows 10 or an older version of Chrome.

I was fine with Citrio and a Chrome-based browser for two days. Then it became clear that Chrome-based browsers aren't the answer. It's strange.
