I found two lanparty boards while searching in my area (off during holidays, no stuck in Jakarta). I currently have $130 from relatives for the holidays. The value is stored in an office PC, seller asks $33 for it, but the CPU is just an E8500 with a mediocre cooler and only 2GB DDR2. The seller doesn’t seem to understand the board’s worth based on its office setting, so I think I might be able to get it for $10-15, maybe even take the CPU if it’s in good condition. The Q8400 comes with a Q8400 and copper core for $20, but I think I could negotiate it down by swapping the CPU if it’s not worth much. Ignoring money, which one is better? I could buy both, but I don’t see the point, most GPUs are overpriced and there aren’t many decent deals. There are a few rare boards out there, so I’m focusing on those that aren’t meant to be sold—they’re just worthless. I’m considering an OLED board around $775 for my hobby.
