I recently upgraded to this card and feel a bit guilty about it. In BG3, the game ran smoothly on my 3090, but now with this card, my GPU usage stays under 60% regardless of settings changes. It works well with a 5800X, which usually stays between 30-40% in-game. I noticed FPS dropping to as low as 8 in the game, while my group’s 6900 XTs didn’t have any issues but reported around 80% GPU usage. Temperatures are fine, and this card consistently delivers strong performance across most games I’ve tried—except for this one where it’s really struggling.

Looking at the 7900xtx at 5900x with ultra wide 1440p, it typically runs around 80–100fps. Usage stays near 100%, though there’s a CPU bottleneck from act 3 to 50–60fps. Adding FSR2 provides extra free frames.

The issue isn't tied to a specific graphics card, working across different systems.

Performance remains at 1440p, yet utilization and frame rate stay constant despite settings—this is quite unusual.

CPU bottleneck then... I do have some weird super low drops to 8 fps that seem tied to VSync, it lasts for 4 seconds and go off (using DX11 renderer); doesn't 'occur with VSync off

I agree, I ran tests with my girlfriend's 5600X/6900XT setup and noticed identical results—just without the annoying frame drops. It turns out the issue stemmed from her RAM resetting to 2400MHz at some point.
