Yesterday I installed BF:H on my laptop with an i7 6700HQ and 8GB RAM. The game is freezing extremely. It pauses every 10 to 25 seconds for about three seconds before resuming. The installation is on my HDD (7200rpm), not an SSD. What could be causing this issue?

Unless you're connecting via an external HDD, it shouldn't affect performance. The stuttering might mean your laptop is overheating.

Max 83C on GPU and 98C on CPU. I tried enabling v-sync to let the GPU handle FPS, but it didn’t make a difference.

This could definitely make your system slow down, since it’s getting too hot. It’s attempting to cool itself, which slows its performance. You might attempt to lift the underside of your laptop and elevate it slightly from the surface, allowing air to circulate beneath the parts. But I’m not sure this will be effective. Also, make sure to dust out the fan if there’s any debris inside.

It looks like a brand new laptop, placed on a flat wooden surface. It also doesn’t work in GTA5.
