My cousin faced an issue switching to Windows 10. It took about an hour and a half to sort through everything (I guess I missed some steps).

Check the game files' validity by selecting the file and choosing "repair game."

I resolved it briefly, yet when attempting to adjust the video settings I received the same alert and were expelled.

Restart the video drivers. I didn’t run into any issues with DirectX in BF4 on Win 10, so it’s not related to Windows.
