DirectX function encountered an error when trying to retrieve device removal reason. The DXGI code indicates a hanging device, likely due to graphics driver problems or application issues. GPU details: Nvidia GeForce Gtx 770, Driver 34411. When playing BF4, the game freezes and shows this message. What steps can be taken to resolve it?

Use the same GPU you have and try installing DirectX Again.

It might also relate to GPU overclocking—if you have one, lower your GPU clock to 1085MHz via Afterburner or a similar tool. Updated October 8, 2014 by Lancer14711
