You're experiencing issues with jagged edges in Battlefield 4, limited to 4x resolution. The problem might be related to texture scaling or rendering settings. Try adjusting the texture quality or using a higher resolution preset if available. If you can't change the resolution, consider using a different mod or patch that supports smoother scaling.

I never tried forcing MSAA, but if it bothers you, post-processing AA might help. I prefer not to blur too much—I like a bit more detail than softness. Also, what monitor size are you using? A large 1080p display tends to show more jaggles on smaller screens. Edit: I don’t think DSR or boosting resolution will work well without lowering other settings significantly. Could it be the MFAA feature? Is it turned on?

I perform 90 degrees of field, 200% enlargement at 1080p using HBAO.

I play BF4 on Ultra using 8x msaa/mfaa (Dual Encryption if MFAA is active). Resolution is set to 160% at roughly 150fps.

Attempted increasing the settings, but the performance compromise doesn’t seem worthwhile.

It's already at 160%, but going higher reduces my FPS significantly. The trade-off doesn't seem worth it.

Interesting fact, I've met a few folks who have customized their 970s, but no one seems to get smooth 150fps with just the original unit. Could it be they're missing something essential? Check out those reviews from HardwareCanucks for more insights.

I previously experienced reduced frame rates, but after tweaking the command line and unlocking CPU cores, I saw a significant improvement. That’s impressive! If you’re not convinced, I’ll run a test tomorrow.

You own a 4.6ghz 4670k processor. I recall having that one, and I’m sure you’re not CPU-bound. Those review tests usually ran at [email protected], so they were definitely constrained mainly by the GPU. Maybe try recording some gameplay and upload it to YouTube—I’d love to see it. But realistically, if you’re achieving high FPS and still seeing jaggies, it’s likely because anti-aliasing isn’t being used.
