I already knew I needed a premium account to play the CTE. Fortunately, I didn’t have to spend any money for this BF4 account since my friend provided it for free. You’re essentially paying $100 just to try out the test maps. Shut up EA.
I understand, but the cost of 40$ for maps and weapons seems high. EA is likely doing this because the community supports it. If the game had full map editing tools and mod support for everyone on their own servers, it would be much more enjoyable and engaging. I find it strange that a game costs so much yet still has restrictions.
$40 covers: Numerous fresh maps, a wide selection of new weapons, various challenging assignments, and the opportunity to influence patch decisions or participate in beta testing. Premium access is reserved for committed players seeking additional replay value.
I might set up CTE this evening to try it out and check the beta map.
