I've read about it on Gamesdeal for seven pounds, and it includes the main game. Is it still worth playing?

On the PC, many people continue to enjoy it, and it remains quite solid. It’s worth considering it. Keep in mind there are likely few players using the DLC, and many of those DLC weapons need you to play the corresponding maps, which might not have any players left now.

With ample free time and funds, why not dive in? A fresh mod has been released offering 120Hz tick rates and customization options, making it essentially a revamped experience. Venice seems to have made a splash with this update.

Games remain enjoyable, but locating servers for Premium maps is consistently difficult. Since purchasing the Premium plan about a year ago, I've only managed to find a few players online. Perhaps it's just my preference, as I don't play the game very frequently.

No one uses it in NZ/Aus version—just noticed you mentioned pounds, which isn't relevant. But if anyone else from NZ or Australia has the same concern, it's not.
