The game feels very difficult to play... I often encounter long pauses that act like stops. Even with a Phenom II 6 core and a 7770, it still works fine, so what’s actually causing the issue?

Do you need to check if your drivers are current? If not, updating them might help. Have you been using BF3 for some time or are you new to it?

Colonel 100 has logged nearly 600 hours of playtime, with a SPM of 2289 and a K/D of 2.09, which is down from 2.44 due to this issue. I set up the game at 1080p, using high mesh settings except for medium quality, no AO, and no AA. I achieved over 120 FPS in smaller maps like Metro.

It might be related to Windows 10. If not, try adjusting your settings and see if it improves. Thermal throttling is unlikely. I recommend backing up your campaign before proceeding, then uninstalling and reinstalling the game—though that can be tedious, but sometimes a clean install helps.

I'll just remove it and never play again.

Don't try that, BF3 is way too much fun. I've spent around 500 hours and keep playing it every week.

I don’t feel good about playing a poorly crafted game.

I noticed my speech stuttering and the screen flickering in Bad Company 2 after using the GF driver 335.23. I reported the issue to Nvidia, but they seem uninterested.
