Recently I achieved a stable OC for my FX 8320 at 4.5 GHz with 1.4625 V, and everything functioned properly during testing. However, when playing games like BF 4, BF Hardline, Rocket League, and Code Master 2019, performance dropped significantly. The game stutters heavily, especially in those titles, and I’ve checked forums but found no solutions. I enabled the in-game network graph; ping and latency are normal. Sometimes for about 5 to 10 seconds, the frame rate drops to around 5 to 10 FPS, and the extra offset and drop sound become very noticeable. After that, everything recovers every couple of minutes. I’ll share a screenshot of the in-game graph below. My system specs are AMD FX 8320 Black Edition, 4.5 GHz, 1.4625 V cooler Scythe Kotetsu with two fans at 1600 RPM, offering good temps even during stress tests. I’m using an ASRock 970 Pro 2.0 with 2x2 GB RAM, 4 GB SSD, running on a 1333 MHz DDR3 stick and an overclocked Gigabyte WindForce GTX 750 Ti 2 GB at 1600 RPM. My PSU cooler is a Master 500W, and I have a Seagate HDD with 1 TB capacity.

Reminds me of past experiences; back then I had an 8320 too... Eventually the motherboard failed :C BF1. Even after updates, performance dropped significantly. My current i5 faced similar problems, mostly with frame rate instability. Since it's a CPU-heavy title, both CPUs are technically flawed, but the game ran smoothly during its early open beta. The recommended fix involves editing a custom config file to tweak hidden engine parameters—helpful if you're familiar with raster game tech. The guide also lists some settings adjustments, though the main solution lies in the config file. I recommend giving it a shot and sharing your results.

It didn't function properly, but when I reduced the clock multiplier from 4.5 to 4.2 the stuttering was close but then I felt a delay in input response.
