BF1 low FPS with GTX 960 and i5-4440
BF1 low FPS with GTX 960 and i5-4440
My system specifications are: Intel Core i5-4440, GTX 960 2GB, 8GB RAM, and a 2TB HDD. I am experiencing frame rate issues when playing the game at 1080p with low settings, particularly in large maps (64 players) and when using sniper mode or zooming in on open terrain. My frame rate frequently drops below 24 fps. I maintain consistent frame rates of 50+ fps in games with 24 players or on maps like Forteca FAO (without fire and snow). I have updated my drivers, closed all background applications, but the problem persists. Please advise.
Do not trust all content on YouTube. Your system has a low-performance quad core processor, and BF1 requires more than 4 cores and threads to operate effectively. Eight gigabytes of RAM will not be sufficient. You should observe that your CPU will consistently reach or exceed 100% utilization across all cores, accompanied by significant SSD/HDD activity when playing the game.
Do not trust content on YouTube. Your computer has a low-performance quad core processor that is insufficient for BF1, which requires more than 4 cores and threads. Eight gigabytes of RAM will not improve performance either. You should expect to see your CPU consistently at or near 100% utilization on all cores, along with high storage read/write activity while playing the game.
My CPU consistently operates at 100% usage, indicating a need for an upgrade. This $700 PC functioned adequately for five years and is now reaching its performance limit.
