BF1 GTX 1070 at 144Hz offers smooth performance.
BF1 GTX 1070 at 144Hz offers smooth performance.
My configuration includes an i5 7600K GTX 1070 with 16GB RAM, a 1440p monitor at 144hz on Ultra. At 80-99fps, I switched to medium resolution and achieved 120-144fps, though it varies. To improve smoothness, should I reduce my monitor’s refresh rate to 120hz? I don’t see tearing, but jitter becomes noticeable when it drops. This is especially important for intense 64player games.
Your processor is slowing things down, consider upgrading to an i7 7700K or a 5820K/6800K for better performance.
Lol doesn't Linus think the extra 100$ for the i7 is worth it just for gaming.
linus emphasizes doing thorough research to meet your requirements. the pc master race slogan is 60 fps, and most people are satisfied with it. an i7 processor is essential for achieving higher frame rates like 120 or 144 fps, particularly in AAA games.
Generally I'd concur, though BF1 stands out as an exception in that area. Pursuing top framerates in newer titles makes the i7 a more solid choice compared to 60 FPS. BF1 can run an i5 at over 90% utilization across all cores on 64-player servers. I'm impressed you hit 120+ FPS, though. Based on my own setup with a 6600K and GTX 1070, anything above roughly 70 FPS is quite inconsistent, especially when many physics events occur.
I'm sorry I didn't ask you this before purchasing everything...
Have you boosted your processor? Raising the 7600K to 4.5Ghz certainly could help raise frame rates, especially if the CPU isn’t already running at a higher speed.
Activate shader cache for better performance. Your graphics card is running smoothly at 1440p with 144Hz on a high-end game.
