BF1 BETA resembles a BF4 redesign.
BF1 BETA resembles a BF4 redesign.
Sure thing! So you're thinking about whether the beta is solid and if the full version is worth the $60? You're considering it compared to your other games like BF4 and BF3, which feel similar but with a different setting. Plus, you mention BF4 didn't perform well when it launched, which is just your take.
Essentially the whole collection is a reworked version of Battlefield 1942, crafted to fit the style of its era. If DICE revisited Battlefield 1942 and updated it with their 2016 production standards plus contemporary shooting mechanics and interface, it would appear to be just as much a rebranding as any other title in the series.
It feels more like a battlefront experience, with a sleek, clear interface. The way characters appear is similar to SW: Battlefield rather than Battlefield 4.
BF4 now boasts the top-tier net code among all combat games. The 60Hz servers outperformed the 20Hz seen in BF3 and earlier titles.
In essence, all FPS games can be seen as variations of each other. The main distinction lies in whether the weapons are hitscan or not. If you find the game a mere copy, skip it. Just decide and buy what suits you.
Lol I was planning to skip it, but I guess I’m fine with that. Probably because I got bored or just exhausted from playing BF games for years. After that, my time on BF3 dropped a lot—more than half—and I rarely play more than 10 hours on BF1 anymore. BF3 Time played "781H 5M BF4 Time played" "341H 20M".
A few folks say it, but I haven't played Battlefield, so I'm not sure.
