The cost of running an ISP isn't obvious. Starting a small operation requires several million dollars, and you still need to pay for staff before you can earn a profit. Also, it takes a while before you can use those profits to grow the business.

Only mention Comcast's issues, especially with slow uploads. Upload speed of 15 Mbps is really poor.

Verizon Wireless remains active. The Verizon FIOS version is still operational. Frontier acquired parts of Verizon's less desirable regions, which included FIOS subscribers.

It vanished from my region, but they function as pioneers there. I thought it would be elsewhere, sorry for the mix-up

seems like I might eventually move to a place like Vermouth. It feels like I need to start getting serious about getting the big ISP connection—something like Google, but I heard they shut down their services and it messed up internal setup.

It might be even worse. You could be in a region with just 5 Mbps upload speeds. That's what I mean. If you're aiming for a faster upgrade to Gigabit or Gigabit Pro.

I’d choose Verizon Fios for its strong upload speeds well above the 35 Mbps limit you mentioned, far surpassing the gigabit potential of your current setup.

Upgrade to Gigabit Pro. 2 Gigabit symmetrical Fiber. You'll need some investment to achieve this.

He prefers Comcast because it requires moving all our emails, using Verizon email. The $300 fee seems too high.
