Better GT 1030 Overclock
Better GT 1030 Overclock
I have a GT 1030 at +265mhz core overclock, +800mhz memory overclock, and +10 voltage. I tested it and it still runs cool but when I overclock it more even with more voltage, games won't work. Is there a way to overclock it further?
It's a GT 1030, not the GTX which offers significantly better performance. Even with voltage doubled to 2.0v, gains will be minimal since the GPU chip sets the limit.
Also, most modern low and mid-range GPUs are voltage locked, meaning you can't exceed a certain level even if software suggests otherwise.
If you're looking to buy a game, consider purchasing a 1050/Ti or better.

For budget constraints, check eBay or local stores for cheaper second-hand GPUs such as GTX 960 (around $100) or 950 (under $100), which are much more affordable. Make sure to choose one with a long lifespan and stress test it using various programs to verify its stability.
