I updated Oblivion from 2007 to 2011. I discovered it on an old hard drive and moved it to a WD Passport. It’s running on a 5900x/3090 Ti rig with 244 plugins, and everything works smoothly. Good luck with Skyrim! My LE version is ideal, but the SE version had issues after the Anniversary update, causing some SKSE plugins to fail.
My partner required a fix that was already in stock. I overlooked adding it during the first setup. My platform uses Steam, which includes the 4GB patch and ENB Boost. There wasn't much to see. My experience with Steam and older Bethesda titles is limited, so I prefer the GoG version.
