I refreshed the BIOS to the latest version from MSI's site. Initially, it worked with my Ryzen 5 5500, but after some testing I powered off the PC and tried to restart a few days later—it didn't work. The machine had been sitting in a case for about four days; I hadn't turned it on since then. Inside the box, the boot process halts at the CPU LED. I attempted to reset the CMOS, used another CPU, different power supply, and a single RAM stick, but nothing else was installed. It isn’t heating up when I try to boot. The question is: is the motherboard dead, or can I somehow revert the BIOS to an older version? Here are the specs: MSI A320M Gaming Pro / Ryzen 5 5500 / 2x8GB Kingston Savage DDR4 2800MHz / EVGA Supernova 750W Gold.

Consider flushing the BIOS to the previous version instead of using beta releases, as unexpected issues can arise.

Unfortunately I can't post to the bio with the old CPU either, so I can't flash it back.

I didn't let my PC sit for any specific amount of time—just waited until it was safe to resume use.

We need more time because it takes longer than expected.

You powered off everything and pressed the power button again to confirm there was no current flowing through the system. Just confirming once more.

What is the condition of your motherboard—new, still covered by warranty, or used?

I bought it from the marketplace nearby. It seemed fine at first, but now it won’t boot. Could this be related to the BIOS or VRM? What are your thoughts?

Likely a bios-related problem, since it functioned prior to the update.

I attempted several adjustments and discovered the CPU heats up only when the RAM is connected to the left dimming port. Placing it on the right port keeps the CPU cool but results in no display or booting.
