Best way to earn REC?
It's a beginner question—how do you get RECs? I joined some Vanduul Swarm Coop games but with starter ships I'm not getting many kills and only around 300-600 rec per match. At this pace I won't earn enough for the hornet soon. For fellow Star Citizen players, what's the most effective way to earn RECs?
Vanduul coop is pretty much the best you can do. If you have an Aurora it's a good idea to spend 1800 rec on the Quad Platform and a set of Marksman I (I'm not sure if that thing can handle size 2 missiles. @ rentaspoon may be able to clarify) Targeting Missiles are a godsend If you're stuck with few small weapons. Other than that since the Aurora is pretty slow you'll always need to catch up to the other ships but since in Dying Star are only 3 spawn points it's actually a good idea to just wait for the others to finish the next wave by themselves and be the first at the spawn after that one. According to what I understand, 2, marksman 2 missiles were once quite impressive (though I’m not sure if they’re still available). I’d recommend adding a size 2 shield there too. If you’re looking to grind, the fastest option is to dive into Arena Commander and lose a few games—about 20 minutes instead of the longer Van Duel Swarm run.
