I was testing Battlefield at 1440p using AMD VSR. The visuals looked better than at 1080p. (Auto Graphic Settings were applied). I’m looking for the best settings to maintain around 60 FPS without interruptions during intense moments like explosions. I noticed FPS drops to about 40–45 when big explosions occur. Since I play on TV, smooth performance matters a lot to me—I’m fine with minor dips but would love to eliminate them entirely. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Follow these instructions from Xfactor, but adjust for 1080p playback.

Reduce the volume of AA or upgrade to a stronger CPU or GPU with Phys-X and utilize DSR.

It's fine with my CPU or GPU. If I needed to push the game further, I'd consider upgrading to another R9 290, but that's not my goal.

2xMSAA or Off will give you 50-65fps on average (varies with map/scene complexity). I used a 290 and a 290x before this GTX 970.

Sure, I'll keep the AA low and adjust the settings to medium to high.

Adjusted the game to the minimum configuration and increased settings if needed for better performance.

The minimum settings are minimal and then the game appears poor. I also enable V-sync to limit frames to 60.
