I'm working on Fedora and am aware that it will be removed in the next release. It's also officially unsupported in the current FC40, so I'm sticking with FC39 for now. I'm confused about how to use VNCserver when X11 support is gone for major desktop environments. Switching to a different DE would really disrupt my workflow. I first tried a lighter option but it was frustrating. I've searched, but most advice focuses on VNC on Wayland with a real display, not a virtual one. This has strayed from what I originally planned.
