These are the ones I immediately came to mind, and I'll add more later when I think of additional titles.

Call of Duty Black Ops 1

Titanfall 2
These are some that come to mind, but I could keep going endlessly—single-player stories really appeal to me.
Witcher 3 is quite solid (I agree, you should skip parts 1 and 2 completely because they just rehash the book plot in a confusing way in the game, and for some reason in the console version, it felt like a lazy continuation).
Another saga I really enjoy is "To the Moon." It had a very moving narrative and was enhanced by an excellent soundtrack—definitely impressive.
StarCraft, Brood War, and the SC2 narrative stand out.
WarCraft 3, The Frozen Throne, Witcher, Bioshock, Dead Space, Pillars of Eternity, Baldur's Gate, Planescape: Torment, Dishonored, Prey, System Shock 2, Vampyr, Mad Max, Fallout New Vegas, Wolfenstein Old Blood & New Order, Outlast, SOMA, and Shadow Warrior 2 are also listed.
