I'm thinking about constructing a computer with the specifications that will be available later. I'm curious about my maximum stable overclock potential for the i5-6600K, assuming only the multiplier is adjusted. I'm not sure about the cooler's quality, but it was suggested in another thread and seems to fit my setup. Still, I'd like to aim for more than 4 GHz if possible. I've picked up some rumors from other discussions, but I'm unsure how much those components influenced their builds, so I'm trying to get some estimates for my own plan.

The outcome depends on each person's unique setup. Some may settle for 4/4.2, while others could achieve higher. Every result is personal, which is why the term silican lottery is used.
