I'm considering relocating your mouse and keyboard to the top level beside your monitor. This would shift them closer to the screen. Many setups already place them in the same area, so it might be a good idea.

The keyboard must feel right. I bought one for a dollar at the thrift shop. A mouse requires more attention. Choose something with additional buttons.

I see, I made a mistake. It's not working out that way.

Choose the position that feels best for you. Adjust your posture so your arms form roughly a 90-degree angle, avoiding any awkward hand placement.

Whatever feels best to you might not suit others.

It seems you're suggesting a specific posture—arms bent at 90 degrees with forearms flat. Just make sure it feels right for you.

Are you utilizing those additional buttons? Since I only employ them for volume adjustments, that's all.

I strongly dislike those keyboard trays, but others suggest the most comfortable setup is what feels right for you. I like keeping my keyboard and mouse on a fixed desk surface—ideally above your monitor. If this sounds appealing, try it out. However, I’m not sure there’s a single "perfect" arrangement.
