Checking the router's supported speeds is important to ensure your internet usage fits your plan efficiently. You might need to confirm the maximum bandwidth it can handle so you don't waste resources.

Is it wired or wireless? Which device are you operating through the router? Which capabilities will you rely on?

It varies based on the band you're using, the client devices, distance, and surroundings, but you can usually reach 200Mbit with short-range connections.

Usually focused on the 5GHz spectrum since I reside in an apartment with several 2.4GHz networks nearby. Using 5GHz reduces interference. Range isn't a major concern because my living space is relatively small.

It handles just a single spatial stream, which means performance will likely be limited to around 200 megabits per second on the 5 GHz frequency.
