Hey there! I built my gaming rig a while back, and it's really struggling now. I'm not super technical, but I want some expert advice before jumping in. I've been saving for a while, but I'm eager to avoid common beginner errors. I chose the AMD Ryzen 9 3950x, a Gigabyte X570 AORUS XTREME board, and some RAM—though I'm not sure what's best. My setup handles streaming, rendering, and intense gaming, but I often run into issues with recording while playing and slow render times. I'm ready to invest, so I'm open to recommendations on CPU, RAM, cooling, and storage upgrades. Thanks in advance for your help!

I suggest 3600MHz or 3733MHz if you can afford it. For a more budget-friendly option, aim for at least 3200MHz. I typically purchase GSKILL RAM myself because they offer great performance for the price.

Consider the newest G.Skill Trident Z Neo models. 4000MHz is ideal for overclocking, otherwise 3600 or 3733 should work.

Beyond gaming, I enjoy working as a freelance 3D and VFX artist. Rendering is a big part of my job, and I’d need to improve my skills to advance my career. Otherwise, I wouldn’t invest much time in it.

I was surprised to learn about QVL, but thank you for clarifying! A 3600mhz kit is great news. It's a relief I won't need to update the power supply anytime soon, which means my savings will be saved. The current motherboard isn't up to the demands of my freelance work in 3D art and VFX, especially with heavy rendering. I'm tired of slow performance and long render times!
