Hiya, just set up a rig with 9800x3d on an ASUS X870-F, featuring two 16GB DDR5 RAM modules at 4800MHz OC, boosted to 6000MHz via Expo1 and a 4070TI graphics card. The CPU is overclocked and undervolted using PBO to advanced settings, with the motherboard limited and scaler auto enabled, plus a boost clock override of 100 and thermal throttle at 80°C with a curve optimizer set to -15. Regarding Windows 11 power plan, what’s the best approach for balancing performance versus stability—should it aim for high performance or a balanced configuration? I’m unsure if 0%, 5%, or 100% settings are optimal for the lowest processor state. Any advice would be appreciated.

What games do you enjoy playing? Which applications do you manage?
A stable system is best when it handles tasks efficiently, allowing you to work and play as needed.
The optimal configuration often depends on the specific games and apps in use.
Ideal settings can shift based on current system activity.
What counts as "correct" is subjective—there’s no universal standard.
Balancing benefits and drawbacks is key. Consider your setup and adjust only when necessary.
These are my observations on the topic.

I haven't played any games yet after installing the OS, apps, and doing stress tests on cinebench and aida64 extreme. The test ran division 1 for about five minutes and stayed stable, reaching over 300fps before dropping to normal limits. Upcoming games include division 1, sea of thieves, wwe2k24, stalker 2, and cyberpunk 2077. Regarding the processor state, a minimum of 0% vs 100% means the CPU isn't throttling due to load but is instead running at full speed or not at all—this is different from the clock speed being maxed out.

For a general understanding of processor conditions, refer to the provided resource. Other related articles and guides are also available.

The recommended default minimum processor state in Windows 10/11 is 5%, which many experts suggest for optimal performance when running light CPU tasks. This setting helps the system manage power efficiently while ensuring smooth operation.

On my end, based on my "Control Planel" setup, the current minimum is set at 5% and the maximum at 100%. I don’t adjust the percentages much.

It’s difficult to say exactly what’s ideal for any specific machine or workload, as each situation has its own trade-offs. I remain cautious about stress tests and benchmarks, so I rely on community opinions instead.

Adjusting the settings to 5% and 100% is confirmed, thanks for the input.
