Dying light and Far Cry 4 are both intense experiences, each offering a unique atmosphere of tension and adventure.
Insurgency works well for those who aren't terrible. Even if you're not great, you can still press C and fire RPG at foes; then trigger a kill using Molotovs. Check out something from Larian Studios.
This topic is tricky since anything feels fresh when you haven’t tried it before. Considering the past year was fairly typical for games overall, many titles from earlier years are worth checking out instead of brand-new releases. Opinions on what counts as a "new" game vary a lot, so what I think is good might not appeal to everyone. The discussion here is already ongoing. What I can share is that I’m currently playing Deus Ex HR—it’s the next best in my queue—and on Steam you’ll find Tomb Raider and Deus Ex HR available at low prices. If you prefer CoD or Battlefield, try the latest versions of those titles. Advance Warfare seemed decent recently, and I saw a stream of Battlefield Hardline beta that looked promising.
If you’re curious about a "new game" to try, Shovel Knight comes to mind. It’s a solid pick if you’re looking for something fresh. But if you’re into CoD or Battlefield, give the updated versions a go.
Consider downloading the Unreal Tournament alpha from their forums—it’s well-prepared. @OP AW doesn’t have a strong PC following; for now, GTA V or Far Cry 4 might be better options.
Wolfenstein: The New Order is an excellent title. I spent roughly 15 hours playing through it before finishing, and then revisited it—it’s a solid FPS with an engaging narrative. Or, if you're up for something new, GTA V came out around March 2015.
