Considering an upgrade to the 11400F, I’m seeking a solid motherboard that supports the project. I’m not familiar with all Intel features yet, especially since prices seem high for what I need. I’m aiming for an NVMe drive—some info suggests newer Intel models offer four lanes to the CPU at Gen4. I’d prefer an ATX board with two M.2 slots, at least three case fan headers, plenty of SATA connectors, and a decent rear I/O with a few USB ports. Whether I need a Z590, B560, or Z490 isn’t clear, but I want something reliable and affordable. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Suggest b590 if you don’t want to move to a newer 11th generation CPU. If you pick a 12th generation, you’ll need a different socket—another option isn’t available. Opt for z590 if you’re upgrading to an 11xxxK processor, or a b590 with solid reviews if you prefer.
