Hi. This is my initial post, so thank you ahead of time.
I'm upgrading my 7700k to an i9-9900k and need to choose a suitable motherboard with a few points in mind: first, I want to confirm if my PSU will suffice (see below), and since this is my second rig, I wouldn't want to install low-end VRM for overclocking.
My current setup includes: 7700k (watercooled)/MSI Z270 M5/32 3200 DDR4 CORSAIR VENG/1080 TI (also watercooled), Supernova EVGA G3 1000W, EKWB XRES-D5 Revo pump/m.2 960 SAMSUNG EVO 480 GB/8 120 VARDAR FANS FOR 4 RADS.
My budget is also a factor: should I invest in a better PSU or allocate funds to a high-end motherboard? The main reason I didn't get a 2080 ti is mainly because I prefer playing at 1080p.
Appreciate your assistance, everyone.

The power supply is more than sufficient, though perhaps a bit excessive. What's your motherboard budget?

Motherboard:
ASRock - Z390 Taichi ATX LGA1151 Motherboard
($209.99 @ Newegg Business)
Total: $209.99
Includes shipping, taxes, and available discounts

This is the most affordable motherboard I could find for a 9900k. I’d suggest considering the 9700k next—it handles some games better, avoids heat and power problems, and supports higher overclocking.

This is the most affordable motherboard I could find for a 9900k. I’d actually suggest considering the 9700k if you’re looking for better performance in certain games, as it handles heat and power better and allows higher overclocking. Thanks! If the PSU is adequate, my estimate for the motherboard budget is around $300—though I’d prefer it to be a bit higher just to stay comfortable. I wasn’t aware the 9700k could outperform the 9900k in some cases; that’s an interesting point I’ll explore further.

Some boards cost more than $200 and are enough. I favor the Asrocks.

Any boards costing more than $200 would work well. I favor the Asrocks personally.
Any specific model you're interested in?

The Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Master received strong praise from most reviewers, making it a solid choice for overclocking with a 12+2 phase VRM configuration. All Z390 boards in the Pro, Elite, and Ultra lines feature a 12 phase VRM setup and perform well in terms of functionality, features, and cooling. It's definitely worth checking out.

This information could also be useful since the Z390 boards were tested:

The Aorus Ultra is slightly lower in the lineup but offers a great price at $228.44
