I purchased Elden Ring previously for my Xbox and reached Maliketh after around 100 hours. I sold my console, bought the game again on Steam, and am now focusing on playing more and beating it before the DLCs become available on the 21st. I’m using a build that’s easy to switch between classes.

Consider researching speedrunning advice and techniques for similar games. While I don’t remember them well, there are websites and Discord servers dedicated to that topic.

Powerful stamina and skill combined with strong summoning abilities make you a formidable opponent. Use your advantage to tackle bosses by hitting them with your weapon or using your broad/greatsword. If you prefer speed, explore Stormveil Castle and reach Varre efficiently. Complete his quests—especially the three PvP invasions—and collect the medallion for teleportation to Mohg’s palace. From there, head to a farming location. You can shoot the chicken with arrows and follow a rough guide I’ve made; farming will boost your level quickly, letting you breeze through challenges. Many world bosses are easily bypassed by fleeing on horseback. For the DLC, just defeat Mohg in his arena when entering—remember, no extra steps needed. Your current character should be ready, and the Rune farm exists as long as FromSoft approves it.

I recall the challenge I tackled at Mohgs Palace where you have to complete a tricky cliff-jump course and defeat every opponent in the entire Mohgs universe for no cost.

They fixed the first issue (you began at the chicken bullying zone), I handled the subsequent one (which also eliminates mohg) once—though I’m not sure if they actually patched it. It seems they often skip repairs unless it’s a major mess. Probably because they don’t want to hand it over for free, but if you really want to succeed you can try. I’ll check when I arrive to see if the hole is fixed, assuming it needed some intense parkour. I’d call that kind of success glitching, since it exploits how the game handles animations and fall damage—not just cheating the AI or using cheat codes. I’m fine with it, but if you’re aiming for a smooth run, I’d skip it.

Sure, I'll likely use it when I'm trying to improve my game against mogh and I just can't get past it.

Grab the mimic tear before facing him; you’ll probably find a broken build designed just for a quick hit and then execute it. I handled it solo (no summons) once with the baja blast beam (comet azur), maximizing that build and finishing with zero FP left right before his third “nihil” attack wiped me out. I was essentially using a superweapon tailored to take him down, so I switched back to Rennala immediately because it didn’t work against other bosses in the game.

It offers a cheat mode that limits your health for speedrunning purposes. You can enable it and later disable it as needed.
