Best linux for a game!
I'm staying at my parent's place for a week and found an old PC there. Windows XP isn't installing, but I need to play a game. My browser struggles with even basic web use on Windows 10, so I want something lightweight. I have a modest setup: AMD Sempron 3800+ with 2.20 GHz, 2 GB DDR2 RAM, 800 MHz clock, Nvidia GeForce 6150 at 425 MHz. I'm okay with around 20 FPS and need it to run smoothly. I'm not familiar with Linux, so I should pick an option that needs low specs but supports flash updates and can handle the game.
Choose between SteamOS or Ubuntu; Mint is also an option, though it's a bit lighter. A few years ago it didn't work well with Steam. Avoid using WINE for games—it causes issues on your newer machine.
Choose a Buntu alternative, though not the standard version. Xubuntu would be a better fit. It’s similar but uses less system resources.
