The most popular options are Ubuntu or Mint, though the best choice varies by user needs. If you're looking for a simple experience, either is great. My top pick is Ubuntu.

I'm currently studying Linux from scratch, but I've been using Linux Mint and regular Ubuntu. They're quite easy to grasp the basics of.

It seems you're considering Elementary OS. Would you like more details about it?

It varies a bit with your system. But I’d suggest Ubuntu Mate or Linux Mint.

It seems like you're anticipating the operating system will be either Ubuntu or Mint.

I dislike this question (even though it seems sensible for someone just starting out), since it lacks a solid response. Everyone learns in their own way and has unique requirements. Generally, I recommend beginning with Ubuntu, one of its variants, or Linux Mint. After gaining confidence, explore more advanced options like Debian, Manjaro/Antergos, or Fedora. The path afterward is entirely up to you.
