Best linux distro?
The ideal Linux distribution depends on personal taste, just like choosing the best food—some prefer pizza, others mac and cheese. Customization is key; Arch Linux with a lightweight distro like Hyprland works well for me. If you're unsure, Mint or Pop are great starting points. There are countless options tailored to different needs, so explore until you find the right fit. (I personally use Arch.)
Well... it's outdated to say you can't play games on a Mac. The App Store now supports Mac, and some of my Steam library is accessible there too. It really depends on your needs. I'm not claiming every title is available, but you can definitely play on a Mac. It's similar to how Linux works now. Windows has lost its edge.
There's a large gap between "you can game on it" and "great for gaming." You can game on a Mac and there are some really good games available, but compared to PC or Playstation or Xbox you also miss out on a lot of major releases. You miss out on some multiplayer games on Linux as well, but outside of that the available library on Linux is still much larger than Mac. This is entirely due to the advancement of Proton compared to Mac projects like Crossover or Whisky. If Mac got an easy to use highly compatible translation layer they would basically be on par with each other.
