My monitor (PG279QM) includes a latency monitoring feature, and I also utilize NVidia Reflex Analyzer. Switching between laptop and desktop via a USB switch for keyboard/mouse input doesn't seem to affect latency noticeably. Each measurement varies slightly, but the overall average remains consistent.
