Hi, I'm planning to upgrade my rig with a Ryzen 5 3600 and need a new mainboard. I'm targeting the 150€ to 170$ range. The MSI Gaming Plus MAX seems like a good fit because it supports dual M2 chips and has plenty of USB ports. However, I've heard MSI isn't always recommended. Could you suggest alternatives? My current build includes a case, PSU, and CPU cooler that are all new or already owned. Let me know what else you'd like to add.

It's a nice idea, Asrock. If you enjoy Asrock, that's great!

MSI is known for offering top-tier boards in the B450 series. The B450-A Pro has performed well, maintaining low temperatures and stability even after the ABBA BIOS issue.

It works well with the 2600x setting I haven’t encountered any overheating issues. I think adding a 3950x might improve performance further.

H55 isn't the best AIO, consider getting an air cooler instead.

However, their bios aren't ideal. Previously I tried to configure a single SATA port as hotplug, but the only choice was to turn it off and on for each port. For older Ryzens temperature readings are inconsistent—bios displays temperature without offset, yet the qfan settings rely on accurate values. Overall, quite confusing.
