I’m still searching for a comfortable setup for low-sensitivity gaming in CS:GO. All four positions seem to create some discomfort. Is there a standard recommended method? From what I understand, keeping your elbow off the desk side and your forearm on it reduces friction with your arm. Using just your wrist on the desk is less tiring but restricts movement. Placing the elbow on the chair armrest with the forearm on the table offers less friction but limits vertical motion because the elbow stays fixed as a pivot. The most common choice seems to be the one that balances comfort and mobility. What’s your experience?
I frequently play strategy games and have a particular arm placement. When stretching, I glance upward toward the top of my mousepad. The pad is angled so my elbow forms a 90-degree angle. I can lay my forearm flat on my desk, but during fast movements (like when four people rush past on B apartments in Mirage), I can raise my entire arm and move easily.

Be mindful of where you place your arm on the desk. I once played CSGO with my forearm resting on it and, within two months, I developed pressure on my ulnar nerve. The arm has three nerves underneath, and putting weight on them or creating friction can compress them. So far, I haven’t discovered a comfortable, ergonomic setup for FPS games.
