I believe we really need some improvement here, or we should look into software options. This question seems to come up often. On the other hand: for free antivirus solutions, you’d likely want Avira or Bitdefender. Bitdefender is lighter on resources but offers fewer customization choices. If you’re going for a paid product, consider Bitdefender or Kaspersky. I’d probably choose Kaspersky because their team has uncovered many security vulnerabilities in the past. You might also explore AVTEST, an independent company that rates antivirus programs (Bitdefender and Kaspersky are the leading two).

Kaspersky offers strong paid protection with regular updates, which might feel repetitive but ensures your system stays secure. For a free option, consider Bitdefender combined with Malwarebytes—the latter handles much of the protection efficiently. Most internet services now include antivirus features, so you should compare what your provider offers. Tech support firms like Best Buy’s Geek Squad also provide anti-virus solutions. If a friend has access to such a service, they can share it across multiple devices through a single account.
