I think I'm the only one using Kaspersky Though I actually use Kaspersky Pure 2.0 I've never tried the internet security version (it's cheaper) I've never experienced any problems with Pure it works quietly in the background and I hardly notice it The only times I really see a pop-up is when I connect a USB drive, and that happens infrequently (Dropbox is a much simpler system for transferring files between my PC and when large shared folders are involved)

Noted the update about MacAfee's pending patent that could restrict users from torrent sites and pirated downloads. This will also be added to their site advisor toolbar—please steer clear of MacAfee soon. Also, Avast is a solid alternative; I've used it for years without encountering any issues. Hope this helps! - winny3141 Big Grin

I rely on Avast free and use Malwarebytes as a backup scanner. You won’t ever pay extra for 'Internet Security' because it already includes useful features like Windows firewall and built-in parental controls, plus all browsers have phishing protection. Remember, common sense isn’t a substitute for real-time antivirus protection, no matter how cautious you are.

For free Avast support with Malwarebytes, you can access it, though for top-tier protection G Data offers the best paid option. It blocks everything effectively, yet many false alarms appear. It also boasts a nearly perfect 100% detection of new threats on the same day they’re released.

I rely on Microsoft Security EssentialsSmile Malwarebytes works well. I only used them for a short period. For a longer time, I had Kaspersky and ESET, everything was okay.
