It appears you have two bent pins on your new socket, but they seem to be mostly intact rather than fully out of place. This might still work depending on how much bending is involved.

No, the box did not have a CPU socket cover installed upon opening.

All hardware was reattached and appears to function properly behind a micro lens. The pins look fine, and the system started without issues. I’ll post an update soon.

It's typical when the motherboard adjusts performance based on heat levels.
