I switched from 970 to 1080 Ti and my frame rate improved significantly.
Benchmarking PUBG presents unique challenges because it’s designed exclusively for multiplayer. This introduces many unpredictable factors like map selection, number of players, and network conditions. As a result, it’s hard to create consistent test scenarios, which is essential for reliable performance measurements. That’s why few people focus on benchmarking multiplayer titles.
I tried, he mentioned his friend moved up from 970 to 1070 or 1080, but the performance dropped. For me, a comparable upgrade made the game run much smoother.
Hello everyone. The person PTX mentioned refers to the complete specification sheet if needed. I have an AMD FX-6300 MSI 970 Gaming AM3+ socket, HyperX Fury DDR3 1866MHz 16GB. My previous MSI GTX 970 handled all games smoothly. Dark Souls 3 ran at 90 fps without issues, though it crashed after a short time. I upgraded to an MSI 1070 Armor OC thinking it would improve performance, but FPS stayed around 30 max. I borrowed a Gigabyte 980 4GB but didn’t notice any improvement. I’ve reinstalled drivers multiple times without success and even tried resetting the whole system, but nothing changed. Is there a bottleneck here? Some say it is, and I’m considering new hardware.
