In games such as Overwatch I don’t hit the ideal 300 FPS, yet MSI afterburner doesn’t display near 100%. When streaming with streamlabs obs, my in-game FPS drops a lot. My system seems capable of reaching max FPS and streaming, but my GPU’s encoder isn’t working as expected, which might cause FPS drops. I’ve updated all drivers and set everything to low. Help would be greatly appreciated.

Specs: RTX 2070 i7 7000k, OC to 4.9GHz, 16GB RAM, 4200MB SSD.

It seems your processor is likely limited, which explains why the overdrive isn't visible and why your streaming stutters a lot.

It seems your 7700K might struggle with the 2070, particularly during streaming. Aim for at least six cores, preferably eight.

Check if your CPU is fully loaded, but remember most games run best when all cores are working together. It’s possible just one core is at full capacity while others aren’t contributing.

Overwatch runs smoothly on low configurations except for player models. At 1440p CPU load is near 50% and GPU around 60%. FPS hovers around 250, sometimes dropping. Streaming at 720p with 4400bps gives 48fps according to nvenc. GPU usage climbs while CPU stays stable. I also experimented with a second GPU for encoding, but it didn’t boost frame rates.

Overwatch is designed to operate efficiently on one core at a time rather than distributing workload across multiple cores. Review the individual core consumption for better insights.
