Beginning to search for monitors compatible with my 3080 Ti/1070 configuration.
Hello there!
I’m planning to search for monitors suitable for my 3080 Ti and 1070 configurations.
Current setup: 5900X/3080 Ti and 7700/1070.
I’ll provide the necessary details and let me know if you have any questions or preferences. I’m aiming to keep costs between 6 and 700 dollars.
Thank you for your time and support with this post.
Country of Origin: United States
What I intend to do: I intend to play competitive games as well as more relaxed ones. I’d also enjoy watching movies or TV shows on it.
Resolution and Screen Size: I want a 1440p display, whether ultra-wide or not is fine. The screen size isn’t crucial to me.
Refresh Rate: I’m looking for a refresh rate of 200Hz or higher.
Budget: I’m targeting around 400 to 600 dollars, possibly up to 700 if it’s a good option.
Brands Preferred: I don’t have strong preferences, just avoid small or unknown brands.
I’m purchasing only one monitor since I’ll use my 1080p60 screen as a secondary display.
I expect it to support up to four displays. I’m using an RTX 3080 Ti from NVIDIA, but I haven’t confirmed the drivers yet.
I’m thinking of connecting DP to DP or HDMI to DP.
This would be my main display; not for a laptop.

Regarding monitor compatibility, the RTX3080Ti can handle four displays.

I get the prices, but I wasn't able to locate the Acer 1440p 240hz monitor on their site. I think it was recommended at $500, though.
Did you locate it? Could this be a suitable option for the $400 budget?
Hello! I'm facing a decision between IPS and VA panels. It seems some VA options match the quality of IPS, but the price gap is significant—about $200 when discounted and $400 without. At Micro Center, an Acer 240hz monitor is available IPS for $600. Is it a good investment? Thanks!
