Hey there, I'm just starting out with PCs. I set up my system last week and want to know the optimal adjustments. I have a Ryzen 9 7900X on an MSI Pro X670 WIFI board, a 2TB Samsung 990 Pro SSD, two 16GB Corsair DDR5 sticks, and an MSI Ventus RTX 3060 12GB. My motherboard supports DDR5 up to 6600 MHz, but I've set it to 5000 MHz. Everything runs in a Cooler Master T500 case with a 1000W Corsair power supply. I'm focusing on gaming performance and need advice on tweaking things. Any suggestions?

Are you planning to upgrade your GPU soon? A 1000W PSU might be too much for that setup. Your RAM should be clocked around 6000Mhz, ideally CL30 if possible. What model did you purchase? You can find tutorials on PBO/CO, which is a good method for undervolting the CPU on any AM5 processor.

What display are you employing? Your graphics card appears somewhat off-balance when compared to the rest of your components.

Thanks to the current hardware, you don't have to take any action if you're getting the expected performance (as seen in reviews where similar hardware performs well). XMP is turned on automatically.

I recommend considering a 40-series GPU for your next upgrade. This will give you more flexibility and options as you build or switch systems later on.

I was thinking about replacing my graphics card later; the 40 series was on my list, but it wasn’t within my budget yet. For my power supply, I chose the fully modular 1000W Corsair because it offered long-term value and flexibility for any upgrades I might make. The RAM model I received is the CMH32GX5M2E6000C36.

With NVIDIA, a GPU with 4070 or higher should work well, and for AMD, an 7700XT or better is recommended.

Looking back offers clarity, yet choosing the B650 could have saved you some cash on the motherboard.

Your RAM is 6000MHz with a CL36 rating. Just turn on EXPO Profile and it should operate at that speed. Using 5000MHz is causing slower performance.

Your system runs much faster after the adjustment. Would you like me to keep the CPU settings unchanged? Its base clock is currently at 4.7 GHz, and the manufacturer supports upgrading to 5.6 GHz.
