If you're referring to the unplugged 4-pin connector, then yes, it's typical*. * unless you're running a very high-performance 10900K or using HEDT (Intel X299 or AMD Threadripper)

You don't require the additional four-pin connector. It's only needed for heavy overclocking, which won't be possible even with ambient cooling. A single eight-pin socket delivers 384 watts of power.
