You'll follow the instructions from the Ubuntu site, but I'm curious—do you think there are better drivers available for USB microphones compared to Windows?

When transitioning to Ubuntu or Manjaro, verify your hardware compatibility with Linux. The mention of USB microphones covers more than just microphones—issues like suspend/sleep functions on laptops, NVidia driver problems, or CPU turbo limitations can arise. These aren’t Linux faults but rather limitations from device manufacturers that only tested on Windows. Expect fixes over time, but remember you’re part of the Linux community; no central authority dictates device or driver quality. If you enjoy pushing boundaries and invest time in researching hardware before purchasing, Linux can handle it well.

If you just need synapse for configuring your mouse, there is a program called Piper which can configure most gaming mice
