Begin adjusting performance settings – Ryzen 3 1200
I attempted to push the clock up to 3800 from its base 3100 and boosted the voltage to 1.29. I'm using the standard cooler. The advice came from two YouTube guides I found. After the first start, the screen went dark for about two minutes while I ran AIDA64 to check stability. It didn't return, so I powered off the machine. On the second try, AIDA64 reported the highest temperature from the first boot was 67°C and flagged a hardware issue, halting further tests. I shut it down and reset the clock speed to auto. Would you like to retry? If yes, what new settings should I use—speed and voltage? Thanks ahead!
Specs: Ryzen 3 1200 XFX RX570 with 4GB/8GB DDR4 at 2666 MHz on an XMP profile, running a 450W PSU.
Use the overclocking flowchart provided (link at the bottom). Don't rely on others' clocks, as your silicon might be better.
I took those because they mentioned most Ryzen 3 1200 models handle 3800, and you could push it to 4000. Probably just bad luck.
