The 7950X includes built-in graphics, so it should display them. A BIOS update might be on the horizon. I’d test one RAM stick at a time, checking each slot sequentially to see if it boots. Occasionally, a single faulty RAM stick can prevent the system from starting.

This module includes integrated micro-switches for power, reset, and CMOS clearing directly on the board. You don't have to connect across jumpers. The initial two switches sit above the power header (#2), while the CMOS clear is positioned between #11 and #4.

Thanks for the advice. I plan to attempt it tomorrow after work. Right now I secured the motherboard inside the case and everything is secured for now.

Thanks for the update. I won’t forget this next time I try it. Honestly, I’m not sure about CMOS yet—I think the other two components are likely just for powering the system.

I thought the wait time was around 30 seconds to a minute. The display showed a solid red light on the CPU. I wasn’t sure if I tightened the screws too much, but I double-checked and confirmed during re-mounting that none of the pins were bent. I’ll re-examine the CPU tomorrow after work, thanks for the tips. I’m not sure if the CMOS battery is the issue, so I’ll investigate further. Appreciate your help.

On startup, the CPU indicator must remain active for a few minutes when using a Ryzen 5000. Allow it more time.

Occasionally your system's basic settings require an update to work with newer processors. You can search the internet for BIOS revision details to verify this.

I’d wait a minimum of five minutes after startup since AM5 appears to run heavy memory training initially. If the post remains inactive, this is likely your third report in the past week about the same problem with new Gigabyte boards. The reason isn’t clear yet.

If everything checks out physically, wait a few minutes before checking if it posts, as the process may take longer. I’d consider replacing the CMOS battery just in case—it’s a circular battery and might be near the GPU PCIe slot or at the bottom of the motherboard. It supplies power and maintains BIOS settings once installed. For testing, use only one RAM module. Also, if you haven’t mentioned it, double-check to remove any USB flash drives. If your motherboard has extra display outputs, such as a DisplayPort, try using them too. I don’t have an AM5, but someone I know faced a problem where the PC failed to boot on a particular port. If it still doesn’t work, it could be a hardware issue, and troubleshooting would be harder unless you have another system with an AM5 setup to compare.
