Before cleaning the PC dust, it started acting weird—slow, stuttering, and hard to manage.
Evening folks. Concern about OBS/streaming and gaming. Initially everything seemed fine until I performed a dust cleaning on my PC. That should be done regularly. Gaming with good FPS and streaming via OBS is working perfectly—no issues to worry about. On Thursday, I cleaned the dust from my PC. Friday night was when I streamed, and noticed a significant drop in FPS—from 35 to below 20. The game was capped at 35 FPS. It seemed unusual since nothing changed. While playing with the raft, performance suffered. I had to lower settings to reach around 30 FPS, but even then it wasn’t enough. With OBS off and idle, the raft reached 60 FPS easily. The game itself struggled with low FPS, and sometimes it seemed to lag. Streaming OBS didn’t cause stuttering; in fact, it was smooth. When I returned to the game, my overlays started lagging and looked poor, not the game itself. During streaming, the game dropped FPS, but OBS remained stable. Now, when I return to the game, OBS begins to lag and slow down, yet the game maintains around 23-25 FPS. I’m puzzled—why does everything change now? This problem existed before the dust cleaning, but not after.
